Nels Nelsen is a Managing Director at Pagemill Partners and co-heads the Semiconductor and Systems Practice. Nels has spent over 20 years advising and working with technology companies as an investment banker, lawyer and certified public accountant.

Prior to joining Pagemill Partners, Nels co-headed the Semiconductor, Communications Equipment and Diversified Transactions practice groups at SVB Alliant, the investment banking arm of Silicon Valley Bank. Since 2000, Nels has closed over 45 transactions and represented both public and private sellers, buyers and strategic partners in a broad range of technology industries and sectors, including semiconductors, telecommunications/networking, software and services, web conferencing, web hosting, wireless applications, storage, medical devices, homeland security and government contracting.

He has also successfully structured and consummated numerous complex transactions, including cross-border transactions and recapitalizations. Prior to SVB Alliant, Nels was a Partner at Gray Cary Ware and Freidenrich, LLP, one of the largest law firms in California. Prior to practicing law, Nels was a Senior Accountant in the audit department with Price Waterhouse in San Jose, California.

Nels is a member of the State Bar of California, a Certified Public Accountant in California and a Licensed Registered Representative (Series 7, 24 and 63) of the National Association of Securities Dealers. While practicing law he was listed in The Best Lawyers of America.

Nels earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Santa Clara University and a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law.
